Laser CladdingWhat is Laser Cladding?Technically speaking, laser cladding is the process of depositing super alloys to substrate surfaces to introduce special properties. What this means is that a variety of metallic coatings, such as stainless steel, bronze or aluminum, can be applied to the surface of another part to enhance its resistance to heat, wear, corrosion and other environmental hazards. How Does Laser Cladding Work?
A wire, strip or powdered metal material is combined with a laser which melts it and causes it to bond with the surface material it is being applied to.
